2025-26 Winter Newsletter
New Year, new energy, new commitments. Winter is the perfect season to slow down, build strength, and take care of your body. We should all focus on staying consistent, moving with purpose, and supporting overall wellness-even on the coldest days. We have everything you need to stay healthy in 2026!
We are adding Pilates to our Group X schedule, CIRCL to Wednesdays STRONG class and also a Friday, 6am Power class at Grit Row. Our WIBIT will be in the pool on Saturdays at 3:00pm starting Jan. 24th. Sign up at the front desk as space is limited.
Here are a couple of tips to focus on in 2026 -
Train for life, not just looks: Prioritize mobility, balance, and strength that supports everyday movement.
Consistency beats intensity: Short, regular workouts will outperform occasional all-out sessions.
Recover like you train: Quality sleep, hydration, and rest days are non-negotiable.
We are proud to be voted “Best of the Gorge 2025” by our members in the 2025 Health & Fitness and the Personal Trainer category for the second year in a row!
Cheers from the Staff of TDAC!
MEMBER HIGHLIGHT
MEET JESUS CHAVEZ - 18 YRS OLD
Jesus lives in The Dalles with his family and is a senior at The Dalles High School. He has 2 sisters and a brother that he encouraged to join him here at The Club. Their parents are impressed with Jesus and his dedication to wake up early and get his workout in for the day.
Jesus has used his time at The Club to try so many new things. He’s playing tennis, swimming, tried yoga, and his favorite, the sauna! His goal is to lose weight and stay healthy. Getting up early and coming to The Club starts his day off right and after school he stops in for a daily double. His favorite workouts are lat pull downs, time on the Stairmaster, and hitting the speedbag.
In his spare time, Jesus likes to hang out with his friends, hikes and spends time outdoors or drivin’ around. He believes that you only have one body, and you need to take care of it. Being consistent, focusing when you are lifting weights and making sure you show up, even if you stay up late, are all part of what makes him stay with his routine! Jesus is competitive with his workouts and always tries to beat his personal best.
He says the people at The Club are helpful, friendly and informative. Just being at The Club gives him motivation to be a better version of himself and work hard at it.
Introduce yourself to Jesus next time you see him at The Club and he can show you some of his speedbag skills!
